Bus:
Buses run every hour from 6:00 a.m. to midnight between Philipsburg, Marigot and Grand Case. The fare is U.S.$1.50.

Rental Cars:
Most popular agencies are represented here (Avis, Hertz, National, Budget, Dollar). Visitors are advised to reserve rental cars in advance.
Driving Tips:
Foreign and International licenses accepted. You will want to pick up a free road map at the rental office and hotels. Driving is on the right! International road signs are used in St. Maarten. Speedometers and road signs are all in kilometers Speed Limits: 40 kph in built up areas, 60 kph out of town unless otherwise indicated by road signs. Traffic in much of downtown Philipsburg and Marigot is one-way.
The people are very friendly and may stop suddenly to talk or give directions. Drive cautiously. If you are involved in an accident, do not move the vehicle and contact police immediately on Tel: 22222 on the Dutch side, Tel: 875004 on the French side.
It is not difficult to get around here. The main road completely encircles the island, and you can go freely from the French side to the Dutch side. There are no customs or border checks. If you are going to use a moped or scooter, be aware that the terrain is hilly, and the roads are narrow.
Island Hopping:
The seaports of St. Martin/St. Maarten offers ferry service to and from Anquilla and St. Barts.
