This festival's dancing, feasting and ceremony are presided over by a "king and queen and other royal dignitaries" who are members of La Rose Flower Society.
· Major Caribbean sailing events include Aqua Action (late May/early June) and the annual Southern Caribbean Match Racing Championship.
· The Fishermen's Feast, in late June, honors St. Peter and St. Paul, the patron saints of fishermen. Even the boats are decorated with flowers for the Blessing of the Fleet.
· St. Lucia hosts the Annual Jazz Festival showcasing international artists at multiple venues over four days each May. In 2003, it is May 2nd - 11th.
· May 21, 2003 - One Day International Cricket (West Indies vs Australia) This will be held at the new Beausejour Cricket Stadium, heralded as the best facility in the Caribbean. June 29 - 24, 2003 - Test Match ( West Indies vs Sri Lanka) Also at the Beausejour Cricket Stadium
· July 14 - 15, 2003 - St. Lucia Carnival. These dates are the actual street jump up days but there are a host of activities leading up to these 2 days.
· October 2003 - International Billfish Tournament. Persons come from all around the region to partake in this tournament.
