A truly exquisite residence on nearly two acres, the Leamington Pavilion's classically elegant building is perfectly complemented by beautifully landscaped gardens, a superb pergola and large swimming pool. The covered open patio with ceiling fan has dining and sitting areas looking over the pool and gardens. From the roof terrace you can admire the most glorious views up the west coast.
The original house was built in the 1950s, redesigned by Oliver Messel in the 1960s, and extensively renovated by the present owners. London interior designer Nicholas Haslam refurbished the interiors in 1990. A formal Baroque dining room seats twelve and includes silver and crystal service. The living room has an extensive library, a supply of board games including chess, mastermind, backgammon, monopoly, and trivial pursuit, and stereo with CD. The house is furnished with valuable antiques. The cool, spacious drawing room opens onto the pergola. This comfortable garden room with four ceiling fans is perfect for afternoon tea or cocktails.
The master bedroom has a four poster queen size bed. The other bedrooms have twin beds pushed together. Each of the three air conditioned bedrooms has a bathroom en suite, ceiling fans, and safes. The well equipped modern kitchen includes a fridge, freezer, ice maker, food warmer, microwave, four burner gas stove and electric stove, oven toaster, blender, food processor, kitchen centre, coffee machine, and two electric kettles. Telephone extensions are in the master bedroom, the fourth bedroom, living room, kitchen, patio and both pool gazebos. The house has a full staff of eight with cook, butler, three maids, laundress, night watchman and a gardener.
The expansive gym has Nytram Sport - Bench Press, Squat Rack, two side seats and long seat (arms and upper body) for Row Pump, Arms - Curl Press, Cross Bar in ceiling (for shoulders); York 9000 bench to work calves; Body Sculpture weights 13 + 2 on York 9000 + 11 in container; Also bars; Power Jog treadmill; Lifecycle 5500 (Bicycle); Weight Rack;and Bryan Punching Bag. Nearby is the beautiful Sandy Lane Golf Course with tennis and horseback riding available locally. On the beach you can indulge in every kind of watersports from swimming to sailing, skin-diving to wind surfing and water skiing. Cobblers Cove Hotel and several interesting restaurants are also close at hand.
The Cottage has its own private gate to the beach and is perfect for a honeymoon. The bedroom with two twin beds is comfortably furnished and air conditioned. The living room is arranged so that the cottage can sleep up to four guests. A fully equipped kitchen is also provided. Cook/Maid/Laundry service is included.
