Barbados features rolling green hills, beautiful white sand beaches, and gentle Caribbean waters on the west coast and rocky shores and high cliffs pounded by the Atlantic in the east. Rainwater has carved caves through the coral limestone and some can be explored. Barbados is roughly 21 miles long by 14 miles wide and its 166 square miles is dotted with scenic villages and historical sites. The island is divided into 11 parishes (counties), each with their own unique character. There are nearly 80 miles of public beaches. See a map of Barbados below:
